In this post, we’ll be answering one of the most common questions clients ask us: How much does it cost to build a website?
It actually depends on the website requirements – what it does, what the features are, where you are building it, what platform will you be using, etc. Each one has a different price but we may be able to give a ball park of how much it costs. If you do not have the budget, you can actually build one for yourself. There are sites like Wix, Square Space, etc. that you can pay a minimal monthly fee which can go up depending on what you want.
If you’re hiring a developer, like Digiwei, we have developers that are local and international which gives us almost 24 hours of service. A beginner developer could charge starting around $200-$500 for a basic website. If you’re hiring a company or a more experienced developer, they could charge around $1000 and up, depending on your requirements. At Digiwei, we start at around $1500 for a basic WordPress website and it goes up depending on what you require. E-commerce websites start at around $2500. We use WordPress because it is easier to use and for people to update. For site security, we use security plugins to protect the website. We also do custom websites where we would bring in another expert (designer, photographer, etc.) as needed. We usually recommend to get your own images as it helps in the look and the feel of your website versus using stock images.
Remember, your website is a representation of your business. Make sure it is easy to use and it shows what your business is all about. With Digiwei, we don’t just offer website development. We also do SEO so it shows up on Google. Contact us for all your website needs.
